Under Armour True Wireless Flash review

 Why did I buy?

I like listening to music, so I spend quite much money on earphones.

My main device is MDR-1000X. Favorite part of it is noise canceling.

 

I want to bring it anytime, but I can't.

Because it is over-ear headphone, it is too hot in summer. 

 

When I put it on in summer, I can see sweat on earcups.

On the other hands, it is warm enough in winter. (I'm wearing it, instead of earmuff)

 

That's why, I don't use headphone in summer, and used to have Jaybird x.

It was also quite nice, but I had been using it for a long time.

 

Main points I wanted to get were 2 things, noise canceling and true wireless.

I had tried a couple of true wireless things,

but they were not good at noise canceling, compared to MDR-1000X.

 

So I gave up noise canceling and tried to find good true wireless one for convenience.

Fortunately, I found out UA flash was on sale(maybe 100 USD), so I got this.

 How to use

Oviously sound quality is lower than MDR-1000X. It is not comparable.

However the thing which is much better than headphone is portable and convenience.

 

MDR-1000X is quite comfort, but it doesn't mean 100% comfort.

It is more comfort than other headphones.

 

True wireless is really comfort, because it is literally true wireless.

It is much lighter than headphones, and no tangled wire.

Another merit is waterproof, IPX7.
I don't need to protect buds when rainy. (I had to protect MDR-1000X)

Battery life is not that long, based on my experience.

The most terrible part is charging buds.

 

As other true wireless earphones do, it can be charged when it is put in case.

It is same, but after full charge, it doesn't charge anymore.

 

In other words, after it is 100% battery, it is discharged continuously.

For example, I put buds in case, and I get them back a week later.
Probably I can't listen to music, because  it is already out of battery.

Another bad point is phone call quality.
I had heard it was good, but actually it is not.

 

When I talk with someone via UA earphones, she has difficulty in listening.

I turn off bluetooth, when a call in coming.

 Should buy?

There were not that many alternatives back then.

However we have got tons of true wireless earphones today.

I would get better one, if I have a choice.

 

When I got UA earphones, one of my friends got it together.

But he has already replaced it.
